Petersfield Minor Injuries Unit says it is especially important we all know how to look after ourselves whether we have a self-limiting minor injury or a long-term condition.
Self-care makes up 80 per cent of all care in the UK and it’s about knowing how to keep fit and healthy, how and when to take medicines appropriately, managing self-treatable conditions ourselves and when to seek clinical help for something more serious.

Staying with hospitals, Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust’s audiology department is running a drop-off and postal repair service for patients with hearing aids issued at QA Hospital, in Cosham.
You can send devices requiring repair to:
Audiology, D Level, Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, PO6 3LY,
… or leave them at the drop-off point at the main reception desk. All repaired aids will be sent back by post.
You can also make requests for batteries, tubes and domes by calling 023 922 86289 or emailing dept.audiology@porthosp.nhs.uk. Please include details of size and/or type of supplies needed so staff can deal with your request quickly.
Bedales Catering is now running a food and frozen meal delivery service for those in Steep who are not able to – or have been advised not to – leave the house due to symptoms, age, or other risk factors.
This is currently a cash-only service.

One for history buffs now, and the Hampshire Record Office is showing 100 days of film! Each day it’s sharing local film content online from its extensive 38,000-strong audio-visual collection, with footage covering the period from 1914 to the 1970s. If you’re a regular visitor to Arundel Castle’s popular Tulip Festival, and are disappointed at missing out this year, although the castle and gardens are closed to the public until further notice, you are still able to enjoy the displays for the next few weeks through the website at tulipfestival.co.uk.
TRAVEL
There are overnight roadworks between 8pm and 6am on the A3 each evening until Sunday. The northbound lane between the A272 Petersfield North (Sheet Link) and the junction with the A325 for Bordon will be closed and may cause some disruption.
This coming weekend, the level crossing in Petersfield will be closed overnight so Network Rail can lift out and inspect the crossing panels. Expect the level crossing to be down overnight also on Sunday night and Monday night.
BT Openreach engineers are scheduled to be laying a cable duct on Chapel Street until Thursday. So, expect obstructions on the pavement.
Hampshire County Council says it plans to fix a bollard and slab outside the Hong Kong House takeaway, on Lavant Street, this Friday. If the work goes ahead there will be traffic control, on Lavant Street, while it is replaced.
A reminder that if an essential rail journey takes you or someone you know through Guildford then Network Rail started some major engineering work last Friday that isn’t scheduled to finish until Sunday, which will cause substantial disruption to journeys.
Trains were already on a greatly reduced timetable anyway, so definitely worth checking if you have to travel. And remember, the only travel that’s legitimate right now is for essential shopping, to get medical supplies, or to get to work if you absolutely can’t work from home.

Another cold start but plenty of sunshine right through the day and it should be noticeably warmer than yesterday according to our weather man Richard Marks.
A breeze from the east will limit temperatures to around 19 degrees at most and expect high pollen and medium UV levels today.
