Georgia Brown’s first bartending experience was at Petersfield’s Charles St Tap Bar, where she learned to make cocktails for a crowd.

In high demand for her mixing skills among friends and family, Georgia impresses Kate Fairweather and Simon Stanley by rustling up a stylish modern martini, using just three simple ingredients.

Georgia’s oh-so-understated French martini proves a hit with Simon and Kate

The French martini

Georgia uses a nifty silver cocktail shaker for this. Even if you don’t think you like pineapple, give this a try. It’s the pineapple that gives the cocktail its distinctive frothy topping.

You will need:

  • 40ml vodka
  • 20ml Chambord liqueur
  • 60ml pineapple juice

Fill the cocktail shaker with large cubes of ice. Pour a double measure of vodka into the shaker. Add a single measure of Chambord liqueur. Top up with a triple measure of pineapple juice.

Shake it stylishly like Georgia, energetically like Simon, or with amateur enthusiasm like Kate until the outside of the cocktail shaker is frosted. Pour, garnish with a single raspberry or perhaps a mint leaf, and enjoy!
