Ten new trees went into the ground at The Avenue on Wednesday.

Each is sponsored by a local organisation.

It’s a small part of a wider tree planting push across the area and is designed to help mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

One of the organisations involved locally is U3A. Shine Radio’s Stephen Martin met their representative, Andrew Borthwick.

We also hear from Councillor Lesley Farrow who serves on the town grounds committee.

From Ditcham Park School you’ll hear the voices of pupils Rupert, Phoebe and Benedict.

Lyn Pease from Winton Players also planted a tree. You’ll hear her voice too.
