TPS has launched a campaign to install a 50kW solar panel array on the school’s flat roof.

The solar installation will help the school reduce its electricity bill and demonstrate to students the advantages of renewable energy.

Principle Mark Marande told Shine Radio’s Stephen Martin that it was students at The Petersfield School who encouraged the project into life.

The project is supported by the Petersfield Climate Action Network PeCAN and hopes to raise £10,000 towards the cost of supply and installation.
