The lucky group of geeks will enjoy a tour of the facility on Charles Street after owners Openreach agreed to open its doors.
It comes as Petersfield’s phone network is being upgraded from the old copper wires to ‘full fibre’ connectivity where every home can have Gigabit broadband.
John Hutchinson has organised the event. He told Shine Radio’s Stephen Martin that he’d been fascinated by the building for a while.

I always thought it was abandoned, so when the opportunity came up to look inside, I contacted John right away. I was one of the lucky geeks on the tour, and where I thought it was going to be a quick look round, turned out to be a well thought out and organised tour. Thanks to all involved.
