As part of our mini-series covering local charity Hart Wildlife Rescue based close to nearby Alton we hear from Phoebe Harris, a wildlife carer at the centre.
Our roving reporter Jo Gray has been following the amazing work by the team at the local rescue centre. Little did Jo know that they would need to ‘spring ‘ in to help with a neighbour’s little bird over the Easter weekend. After being captured by the family cat, the little bird was cocooned in a miniature version of the tomb of Jesus – carefully crafted by Jo’s next door neighbour at a local church bible study group on Maundy Thursday.
By coincidence, the beautiful ‘Easter garden’ was the perfect size to keep the little being in safe and secure for his/her trip to HART Wildlife Rescue – Grandad’s great idea!

Update: sadly, this little guy didn’t make it. But we all did the best we could.
