Butser Ancient Farm is a local unique experimental archaeology site in the South Downs National Park. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this summer staff and volunteers – together with the help of sailors from HMS Queen Elizabeth currently docked in nearby Portsmouth – attempt to erect a three and a half tonne standing stone. A fitting memorial only using traditional methods.
Our roving reporter Jo Gray swung by the scene to see how things were progressing. Tune in to find out.
