Val Hart BEM has volunteered with Petersfield organisations for 37 years.

Her support of groups that include Save The Children, the Petersfield Theatre Group Winton House and the Petersfield Free Shop led her to be named as a medallist of the Order of the British Empire in the King’s first New Year honours.

Val lives in The Spain in Petersfield town centre. Shine Radio’s Stephen Martin is listening to her.
