Simon Hawkins is well known in Petersfield, having run the Drum until five years ago. He is a familiar face, along with his brother James, at farmers’ markets under the banner of Hawkins Brothers wine.
Shine Radio’s Kate Fairweather caught up with Simon last week as he celebrated exchanging contracts on the Cricketers in Steep. He has two months to refurbish, redecorate, hire staff, plan the menu and plans to launch at the end of March.
