The Clients of the Liphook Day Care Centre took part in a Sing Song on the 6th June to commemorate the 1944 D-Day Landings. Trustee Cllr. Jeanette Kirby and former Chairman Bob Hall spoke to Shine Radio’s Alistair Crawford to reflected on the work of the day centre and the day itself.
The centre is open Tuesday Wednesday & Thursdays from 9:30am to 3:15pm. Clients are collected from their homes and returned again at the end of the day. During their time at the Day Centre they take part in quizzes, bingo, art and crafts, flower arranging and enjoy the company of others. They are taken on trips out during the year and have special birthday cakes made by the cooks on birthdays to help celebrate.
Its a registered charity and rely on donations and fundraising to keep the Centre open, and are very grateful for the support from the local businesses and residents of Liphook.
If anyone is interested in attending the Day Centre please contact the Managers on 01428 724941.
