Time and climate can’t wait until 2050 say councillors

District councillors have pledged to become carbon neutral across all council operations by 2035.

At their last Full Council meeting the motion was carried with a cross party agreement.

Shine Radio’s Julie Butler was at the meeting to hear the debate. She spoke to Clllr’s Ginny Boxall (Liberal Democrat) and Robert Mocatta (Conservative) after the meeting.

    This is an excellent outcome to an important debate and I am so pleased you have the new target of 2025 for carbon neutrality.
