A Petersfield couple has turned part of their front garden into a pumpkin patch.
Beverley and James live in Tilmore.
Theirs is now the only house on the street to feature pumpkins so large theyโre now threatening to balloon over the pavement.
Beverley says they have exceeded her expectations. She is speaking to Shine Radio’s Stephen Martin.

Gor blimey what a whopper!?
I think Shine radio should consider a regular gardening slot hosted by the fabulous Beverly – I could listen to her for hours! Top notch pumpkins Beverly and James!
Ooooh, Matron!!!
Although I don’t know this lady very well, her passion for large squashes is clear to see.
I think we could all take a (pumpkin) leaf out of Beverly’s book and make our gardens fun and pleasurable.
I look forward to next year. She tells us she is planning on growing a giant peach for her husband!!
Sounds like Beverly and James are rewriting the storybook classics with their front garden pumpkin patch, turning their place into a real-life “James and the Giant Peach” adventure! Those pumpkins are so huge, they’re giving the pavement a run for its money. Watch out, world, we’ve got a pumpkin-powered fairy tale in the making! ๐๐
Do you remember the Charlie Brown stories about waiting in the Pumpkin patch? I think a security camera could finally prove the existence of the Great Pumpkin and lay this legend to rest once and for all
What an interesting interview and a delightful lady! She needs her own show!
Can we ask Beverly to do a regular slot on Shine where she visits gardens around the town and spots prize winning fruit and vegetables?
Looking forward to Halloween, Tilmore is going to be sooooper spoooky!!!!!!!!!
Little way to go yet……

Do you think you could hear them growing? I only ask as my neighbour has a pumpkin patch and I can hear a weird noise coming from there when the wind is right.
So much better than a boring lawn, how about lots of bonsai Christmas trees later this year?
Inspiring conversation about pumpkins! Beverly would be great as a regular with the way she is able to illuminate a story. Thank you.
