Thakeham Homes pulled out of plans to build more than fifty new homes on land off The Causeway in Petersfield. But the company says it’ll be back.
Its decision follows a string of objections to the development. The South Downs National Park Authority, local residents, Petersfield Society and the Police all raised concerns about the plan.
Now company director Tristan Robinson explains what happened and how the firm will return.
He says their new proposal is designed to meet the tough conditions required of building schemes in the South Downs National Park and this particular site in Petersfield.
He’s speaking to Shine Radio’s Stephen Martin.
Plans
This is the layout which will be replaced. Tristan Robinson says the new design will include a continuous green link through the site and a cycle path that avoids people from having to cycle along the Causeway.
