Clanfield Parish Council is seeking the views of residents on the prospect of the Parish Council selling Down Farm Barn, locally known as the Crimea barn, and its surrounds for residential development. This would be subject to planning permission and a covenant requiring key features of the existing barn buildings to be incorporated into the scheme.
Dave Harris says told Phill Humphries of Shine Radio “The debate to get to this stage has been a complex and difficult one, trying to balance cost and viability with conservation and historical factors.” As this is a significant change of direction from the original plan to “Save Crimea Barn”, they wish to consult with residents in order to gather opinions on this course of action.
A form for your feedback is available on the parish council website https://www.clanfieldpc.org.uk/
