Emily Rich, the hall manager, told Shine Radio’s Phill Humphries that they are not looking to raise the roof – they just want to keep it up. The hall is fifty years old and starting to show its age inside but the big work is the roof structure which needs serious attention.
They have already held a consultation with local residents and fundraising is now getting underway.
