Several hairdressers are being forced to leave a Petersfield salon after its owner failed to secure planning permission for the operation.
Linda Coates set-up the salon behind her house in Buckingham Road two years ago but neighbours objected.
Linda says she invested £14,000 in the project and believes the salon causes no problems for neighbours, but officials at the planning authority sided with neighbours who said the were concerned about noise and extra traffic.
After planning application was rejected and then an appeal dismissed, her colleagues must stop working there in February, leaving Linda to operate solo.
Shine Radio’s Stephen Martin visited the salon.

Lynda is a hard working Mum that is trying to do her best for her family , she deserves
the best chance to let her do that .
For these women to lose their jobs because of some over exaggerated and unfounded ideas is absolutely ridiculous, Mrs Coates should be commended and encouraged for her enterprise. With a large laundry business and a builders merchant very close by, not to mention all the commuters that park in that area I do not believe that 8 customers a day ( some walking) can really impact on this no through road. With the small building situated in their back garden it is out of sight and not noisy at all . We should be encouraging these people, not driving them out
