Hendog art on Chapel Street

A mural has appeared in Petersfield, prompting people to question who is the artist behind it.

Shine Radio’s Alistair Crawford has the answer.

He reports that Hendog, whose moniker appears alongside the stencilled bear is an anonymous Winchester-based street artist. Hendog’s art bears a resemblance to that of the covert Bristol-based grafitti artist Banksy.

The new piece in Petersfield has appeared against the wall of cycle store Hoops at the end of Bakery Lane and opposite The Old Drum.

Hendog is currently attempting to create street art in 24 places across Winchester, but appears to have spread his/her/their wings into the Petersphere with this alleyway art in Petersfield town centre.

Hendog’s instagram page confirms the provenance of this artwork.
