The Wheels to Work scheme provides mopeds for people to use to get to work (including shift work), college or interviews.
It’s low cost, at about £25 a week, the mopeds are MOT-ed, insured and open to anyone over 16. Kit is provided and there’s even a scheme to get you a jacket!
The 23 mopeds can be loaned for a minimum of two months and a maximum of a year.
Wheels to Work Coordinator, Katie Lewis, spoke to Mike Waddington about the scheme and the success so far.
