Jack Finch chatted to academic and writer Richard Hawtree in an atmospheric pub to hear all about his work as an expert on ancient English history and literary figures from that time whom he has spoken about at the “Petersfield Bookshop.” being a close friend of the shop Richard has done many illuminating talks there including reading extracts from his most recent publication of poetry “Your Memory Singing” which is a homage to his Grandmother’s childhood experiences growing up in Cairo and Colchester which we hear all about and even get a little taster. Richard will be reading from this collection at the Chichester new park centre on the 29th of January and doing a talk at the Petersfield Bookshop soon about the “venerable Bede” so watch that space!
