The Free Shop, at The Hub by Petersfield Rail Station, gives away food from all the supermarkets rather than have it go to landfill.
33 tons of food were given to 9,000 visitors last year.
They also supply school uniforms.
Mike Waddington spoke to Lucy Lomax, the Project Manager and Jen, one of the volunteers, gave him a tour of the produce freely available; good for the environment and for social inclusion.

I admire the work you are doing.and wonder if I Can be of some help. I live in Farnham and worked with the Ukranian refugees when the first arrived in this country. I held workshops on Culture Shock both for the host families and Ukranian families.
I also work as an Inter – Cultural therapist. Both on one to one session and in support Group settings.
My main aim is to facilitate the transmission from Ukraine to England as traumatic and stressless as possible. Again by supporting both the English host families and Ukranian families.
I have copies of the work I did on Culture Schock and are willing to do more of these if you believe the need is there.
I also do breathing work ( help to relax ) meditation and simple exercises to keep strong.
And finally I am willing to give counselling session, provided the client speaks English or she has an interpreter to support her.
I learned from the first 2 years of working with the Ukranian people how independent and resourceful they are but also willing to learn to embrace other cultures, other ways of doing and being without loosen their own identities and I admire them very much.
