The officers recommendation to approve was overturned by the Planning committee last night.

The people and committees that make the decisions on what goes into Petersfield baffles me.
In times gone by they said no to Top Shop in favour of Laura Ashley because it wasnt “Petersfield” and look how that turned out. Top Shop would of been a fabulous draw and sells such a variety of products, where Laura Ashley is a selective audience. I honestly am relieved that justice was done, and hope everyone gets behind them for appeal. This means someone out of area looks at it from a factual perspective so that is something, especially as they take into consideration what damage will be done to surrounding business and obviously existing ones. Good luck Fez and BD 🙏
