It’s 200 years since the railways started: the Stockton to Darlington steam service, the first in the world began in 1825.
Petersfield is part of the national celebrations.
Town Councillor Anne Stephenson and Lucy Lomax, from the HIlls to Harbour Community Rail Partnership, tell us more about the plan.
There will be a mural, a competition and a collection of memories and photographs.
And it will be launched at a party at the Railway station.
It’s also about the environment too, says Anne.
