Alternating with Bramshott Open Gardens, the village is about to hold it’s bi-annual party and music festival called Bramstock.
Held within walking, or perhaps cycling, distance of Headley Grange where Genesis and Led Zeppelin recorded some of the most famous albums in the world.
Mark Simpson spoke to Cathy Austin about the event, which combines DJs who’ve worked at The Hacienda, with barbecues, camping, family fun and, most of all, a main stage filled with talented local musicians and singers.
Tickets and more information can be found on the Bramstock facebook page. Shine Radio will be there on Saturday 5th July.

I’d no idea Hadley Manor was here … Led Zep IV – so thanks for pointing that out Mark
Yes it was a Victorian work house converted and Robert Plant wrote the lyrics to Stairway To Heaven in the garden. John Bonham’s drums were recorded in the wooden stairwell and Genesis did a lot of work on The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway there. Yazoo also filmed a video there. Coincidentally Fleetwood Mac also rented another large residence nearby.
Fab!! And you were there.
