Threads Across Generations: Artist and Academic Helen Sill on Stitching, Inspiration and Community

Helen Sill is an artist, designer and academic whose lifelong love of textiles has led her to a PhD exploring how stitches and techniques are passed down through generations of women. Chair of Liss in Stitches, Helen has been inspired by the group’s creativity and encouragement, and she is now part of their biennial exhibition. As part of Hampshire Open Studios, her own work can also be seen at Rushes Road, where a whole community of artists is opening its doors this summer.
