The volunteers at Shine Radio are sending their gratitude to to the people of Petersfield who voted the station top of the Arts and Entertainment category in the Petersfield Awards 2025.
The win was announced at a ceremony held at Churcher’s College on Friday 24 October.
Shine Radio volunteers Julie Butler, Joff Lacey, Emily Watts and Ann Marden were in the room to hear the applause and receive a trophy.
Awards judges acknowledged the hard work done by the team to secure an Ofcom licence, a vital step on the path to introduce the station to DAB radio. But it was the public vote which secured the award for Shine Radio and its hard working volunteers.
