The Petersfeld Men’s Shed has many activities – wood and metal working, bike repair, music, computing and community projects in schools and charities; they’re just completing bird boxes for a starling project and show us the ‘tensegrity table’ a member has just made.

The idea is to occupy your hands or learn new skills and to combat loneliness and depression.

They have about 100 members but intend to offer a drop-in for people to try them out.

Chairman, Nick Broom, speaking to Mike Waddington, talks about their current activities, their plans and their role – including a grant to make them more usable if you are in a wheelchair.
