St Peter’s Vets run a 24 hour, 7 days a week, year round service, but there is such a thing as First Aid for your pets.
Local vet Matt Tyler, a general practitioner from St Peter’s Vets, speaks to Mike Waddington about it and stresses the first thing when faced with an injured pet is to keep calm.
The advice is fairly similar to what you might do for yourself.
CPR for animals requires a special course to learn but Matt also says that if you reach that stage you should call your vet.
