East Hampshire residents came out in the droves for the local Hampshire County Elections held on the 7th May 2026.

Turnout was the highest seen for many years with an overall turnout of 49%.

Each Division all had turnouts of over 40%. The turnout results are as follows:

Petersfield Hangers at 56%

Alton Rural at 54%

Alton Town at 49%

Petersfield Butser at 49%

Liphook, Headley and Grayshott at 49%

Catherington at 48%

Whitehill and Bordon and Lindford at 41%

All turnout results have increased by at least 10% since the 2021 elections.

The results and newly elected Hampshire County Councillors are as follows:
