On the 13th June Network Rail infrastructure director Tom McNamee handed over the keys for Haslemere’s historic Grade II listed Signal Box to Ken Griffiths MBE.

Ken and the trustees are going to open the box, which has been running the line from Petersfield since 1895, to the public on Sunday July 26th, as a new museum, with plans for a memorial garden.

Mark Simpson spoke to Ken and two signallers Kelvin and Peter and found out how the box worked.
