The 2023 Petersfield Walking Festival is being made possible by the generosity of inspirational, local adventurer Rebecca Stephens MBE. On Friday 3 February, Rebecca will be giving a festival fund-raising talk at Churchers College. Rebecca, who lives in South Harting, was the first British woman to climb both Everest and the Seven Summits (the tallest peaks on each of the 7 continents). In her presentation she will talking about the joy she finds in the mountains, walking through the valleys as much as reaching the highest peaks, and the valuable lessons learned from the beauty of the landscape, and how she still uses this knowledge to shape her approach to life today. Tickets are available to attend on the evening or online via the festival website – www.petersfieldwalkingfestival.co.uk. Door open at 7pm and the talk starts at 7.30pm.
