Celebrating Nicholson

Join us at the Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery to celebrate William Nicholson - distiller, politician, cricketer, philanthropist and former Churcher's governor.

As we come to the end of the 300th anniversary of Churcher’s College, it is fitting that we celebrate William Nicholson, the man who gifted the land on which the School stands today, at Petersfield Museum, one of our town’s hidden gems.

Nicholson is also the same man of Nicholson Gin fame – Britain’s oldest gin, established in 1736. The distillery is still run by direct descendants and a Nicholson mixologist will be on hand during the evening to keep your glasses full!

The ticket price includes:

  • Nicholson Gin tasting
  • Museum Tours – including the Churcher’s College 300th exhibit
  • Theatrical performances – the Museum’s education department will be bringing Nicholson alive!

All funds will be directed to the Richard Churcher Foundation, providing bursary awards to families whose children would otherwise be unable to benefit from a Churcher’s education.
