Froxfield Choir’s annual summer concert in Privett church is always the highlight of our choral year.
Holy Trinity is a joy to perform in and the churchyard provides a beautiful setting on a summer evening as friends gather to have a drink before and during the interval.
Built in 1876-78 the church was designed by well known Victorian architect Sir Arthur Blomfield.
Renowned for its 160-foot spire the Gothic Revival landmark is now maintained by the Churches Conservation Trust and provides the perfect concert venue.
This year’s programme is full of well known music that is bound to thrill and delight the audience. The choir will be accompanied by a Baroque ensemble all playing on original instruments to give the concert an authentic sound. This is the last concert under the chairmanship of Sue Clegg, who will be stepping down after 14+ years of amazing service to the choir. We are hoping for a packed audience to wish her well and thank her for her hard work and enthusiasm which has been critical to the choir’s success.
