Gogglehedz launch at Petersfield Open Air Swimming Pool

A new book by Katy Sexton MBE and Oliver Stubbs launches in Petersfield to mark world drowning prevention day.

The Gogglehedz are the newest water safety crew in town.

Created by World champion and Olympic Swimmer Katy Sexton MBE and illustrator Oliver Stubbs, the Gogglehedz are brought to life in a series of books.

The books are aimed at educating young children and their parents about the hazards and dangers in and around the water.

“Drowning prevention day seemed the perfect day to launch our first book”- Olympian Katy. “We’ve tried to recreate scenarios in memorable stories with fun characters that help educate children and their families” – Oliver Stubbs.

Both Katy and Oliver work as swimming instructors and are passionate about teaching children about water safety and how to swim.

‘The Gogglehedz and the Stormy Day’ is the first book in a series of short stories.

Books will be available to purchase at the book launch at Petersfield Open Air Pool on Tuesday 25th July at 12:30pm.
