Nelly Power was a force to be reckoned with in an era where theatre was one of the very few areas in which women could be independent. Using songs made popular in the music halls, Blue Fire Theatre Company take their audience back to the 1880s to view the social history of the period. Expect tales of female emancipation, divorce laws, and the great inequalities and double standards of life in Victorian England.
