Seashore Pendant Workshop with Rachel Hartland

This is your chance to create a unique pendant necklace using a selection of beach-combed shells, upcycled, rock and glass beads, and some fine wool yarns. 

This workshop is a fresh expression of Dorset Button making, building on a four centuries-old craft tradition. You will be introduced to some of the history and basic techniques, and to how you could adapt your own materials to work with those skilss. All materials and tools will be provided for use during this workshop, including needles, snips, an adjustable hemp cord necklace, a choice of yarns and prepared seashells, and a wide range of rock, glass and upcycled beads for you to choose from.

At the end of the workshop you will have produced a unique piece of jewellery to take home, either to wear yourself, or to gift. You will also be given a tips and hints sheet, with some suggested sources from which to buy further appropriate supplies.
