George Scott was one of Bill Shankly’s first ever signings for Liverpool FC in 1960. He was included in the squad when Liverpool won the FA Cup for the first time in their history in 1965. George is one of the few people left sharing first-hand experiences of a great football era. He has travelled thousands of miles to give his fascinating talk about how Shankly persuaded his family to let 15-year-old George sign for Liverpool, his career there and at other clubs and how he met Elizabeth Taylor, and much more.

Scott provides a fascinating insight into modern Liverpool’s formative years and Shankly’s Anfield. His is an untold story of a dream crushed and of a career rebuilt in Scottish Football and taken to new heights in the South African premier league.
