Local artist Sue Webber loves to walk. She has spent the past year gradually walking to London in stages.

Her journey is complete and she has created a record of those walks from Rowlands Castle to Westminster for an exhibition at the Petersfield Physic Garden.

“I started my walk from Rowlands Castle to Petersfield last December” she says. “As I moved North, and away from places I knew, the journey became an adventure, exploring places on foot I had seen from the train as I travelled up to London over the years.”

“The walk always offered something new. The seasons changed, sometimes the footpath disappeared, other times I discovered hidden gems. There are plenty of new experiences for the walker crossing unknown territory.”

Sue is an artist with a special interest in landscape. Her exhibition includes some of her favourite moments along the walk, places you may know from your own travels.
