Simon Lawrence gives an update on the recent activities of Maddy’s Mark and its ambitions to new Shine Radio volunteer Ann Marden.
Maddy lived in Sheet, attended Churcher’s College and then the University of West England in Bristol. She lost her life in March 2022, aged just 20. Eight months on, Shine Radio’s Noni Needs hears from some of those who knew her best.

It’s a P pod special this week as we follow the journey of two Petersphere residents undertaking a personal challenge to raise awareness and funds in the memory of Sheet college girl Maddy Lawrence.
Each day was an adventure and they didn’t know if they’d get to the end. They just took one day at at time.

Janine Gillard is excited but apprehensive, ‘the more nervous, the closer I get because it’s been a long time to try and get here. It become the more precious the closer you get to your goal.’
